Difference Between Mold and Mildew
Mold and mildew are both fungi, but they differ in appearance, health risks, and treatment:
- Mildew: Light-colored (white or gray), powdery texture, typically surface-level.
- Mold: Dark green or black, fuzzy texture, can penetrate walls and wood.
- Health Risks: Mold is more likely to cause allergic reactions or respiratory issues.
Always wear protection when cleaning any fungal growth, and never attempt to remove extensive mold yourself. Visit our Mould Remediation page for safe solutions.
